The David Graham House 1963. Architect Arthur Erickson composed a home in Vancouver, British Columbia, as a series of interlocking horizontal terraces. Natural materials and a reflecting pool relate the structure to the lake and rocky cliff on either side. Erickson considered the home as the one that launched his career. The property, valued at almost $3.5 million, was bought by Shiraz Lalji in September 1988 for $925,000. He demolished this mid-century masterpiece in 2007.
The wood-and-glass residence temporarily housed stars Warren Beatty and Julie Christie during the filming of McCabe and Mrs. Miller in 1970.
